Tuning

Pianos are under a tremendous amount of tension. A miracle of classic and modern engineering they require maintenance to keep the strings tuned to their proper pitches and the entire piano in harmony with itself. Most residential pianos need to be tuned at least twice a year. I use a combination of traditional aural and modern electronic techniques to provide highly accurate and stable tunings that maintain their musicality throughout the pianos entire range.

Voicing

The tone of your piano is affected by many variables; the hammer felt, the alignment to the string, the down bearing and much more. Maximizing the pianos tonal abilities takes a careful approach. It can take a piano that is bright and brassy and make it warm and sonorous once again. 

Regulation

There are over 10,000 parts in the modern piano. Many of them receive daily wear and tear from each stroke of the keys. It becomes necessary after a certain amount of play to return these parts to their factory settings giving the action back its power and control. I have regulated pianos for some of New York’s finest arts institutions and am well prepared to take any clients needs and budget into account to regulate the piano to a place where it joyous for the owner to play again.
